Scouts – 30th March Survival Camp

The Scouts who have signed up for the survival camp will be putting the skills they have learnt to the test. There is no meeting if you are not attending the camp.

Will You Survive!!

Survival Camp, for your information:
Where: Tansley Wood Scout Camp (For Directions, Click Here)
Drop off time: 6pm on 30th March
Pick up time: 12 noon on 31st March

Kit List:
· Full Scout uniform
· Warm clothes (hat, gloves, no jeans)
· Sturdy pair of walking boots
· Penknife
· Water proofs
· Torch
· Winter sleeping bag
· Sleeping Mat (foam or self inflating)
· Small wash kit
· Survival bag

You don’t need to bring too much kit, as it’s a survival camp, you only need the basics.

Scouts – 23rd March Easter egg challenge

Hi All,

Note the change in activity and venue, we will be meeting at St. Thomas’ at 7.30pm and finishing at 9.00pm.

This week we are doing an Easter egg Challenge. This will be the last week where patrol point will be up for grabs. This terms winning patrol will be announced at the end of the night. The prize for the winning Patrol is; an all expenses paid trip to Pizza Hut for tea.

This week you will be learning how to survive in preperation for the wilds of Tansley, if you are going on the survival camp it is vital you attend this week.  Full uniform and please bring any camp monies/deposits.  Note late finish, 9.30pm.

Scouts – 9th March Spire Visit

Hi All,

This week we’re being treated to the sighs of Chesterfield from upon high.  We will be meeting early at 6.30pm outside the Crooked Spire, we will also be finishing early 8.30pm.  We will be doing some investitures,  so make sure you come in full uniform and are on best behaviour.

Just got back from where we are meeting tonight and the roads have all been gritted and are clear right up to where we are meeting , therefore tonight’s wide game is still on.  Don’t forget wrap up warm, (hat, gloves, good walking boot).

**UPDATE** SCOUTS – WIDE GAME STANAGE EDGE **UPDATE**

Tonight’s meeting is still on, I work near Stanage Edge and will have a drive up this afternoon, all the roads are clear in Sheffield.  So make sure you wrap up warm and do try and turn up as all the leaders will be there.  Keep checking the website, I will update it again about 6pm.
