St George’s Day Parade

St Georges Day Parade – Sunday 22nd April 2018

Chesterfield District’s Annual St Georges Day Parade and Promise Renewal will take place on Sunday April 22nd. As in previous years, the parade will assemble in front of the Town Hall and march to the Parish Church.  All Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders and Leaders are expected to attend in full uniform.  (From past experience it could be a bit chilly and therefore everyone should wear a layer or two under their uniform.)

3rd Brampton will meet in the little car park on Rose Hill West no later than 14:10.  Free passes for the Town Hall car park are available here.

After the service and renewal of promise, the parade will march back to the Town Hall where they will be dismissed at about 16:15.

St George’s Day Parade 2014

This years St George’s Day parade was held on the 4th May.  It was well attended by many groups from in and around the Chesterfield area.  The parade met outside the town hall and then marched to St Mary’s and All Saints church (the crooked spire) for a short service.  After the service the parade returned to the town hall and was dismissed by the mayor.  As always the parade route was lined with onlookers, and the church was packed.  We were lucky to have good weather this year (which is not always the case).
